SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION CRITERIA
The NSFSI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, marital status, national origin, ancestry, veteran status or disability in the administration of its scholarship.
Omission of any criteria requirements will result in your application being discarded, please be sure to include all requested information.
APPLICATION CRITERIA REQUIRED:
* Nebraska Resident * Full time Nebraska senior high school student, or currently attending college.
* Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5 * Acceptance into a college or trade school as a full time student and his/her field of study must be fire service related
*Submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation (excluding immediate familymembers) * Submit a letter from the high school counselor verifying grade point average, class rank, and enrollment in college and include the students high school transcripts.
* In 500 words or more (typed): Explain his/her educational goals and career objectives.
Scholarship Amount: $750
When the Chairman of the scholarship committee receives a letter from the counselor verifying that the student is attending that college, the $750 scholarship check will be made payable to the student.
SELECTION OF RECIPIENT
The recipient will be selected by a committee appointed by the Nebraska Society of Fire Service Instructors and the Nebraska Fire Chiefs Association.
